MORE Accolades for Team Po'okela!

You did it AGAIN, Team Po'okela--you lived up to your name!

The results from the end of the year Teenbiz tests are in . . . and out of all six teams at MMS, you came in first!!! Woohoo! You scored more points that any other team (including the 8th graders) and also made a solid year's gain--we're so proud of you all--you took the challenge and rose from last place to first!

In other news, we have a NATIONAL CHAMPION on our team! That's right, our very own Shearyna Labasan, didn't start the year with us as she was on the mainland competing in the 14U ASA Fastpitch Softball Tournament in Sacramento, California against 40 other teams . . . and her team, Po'okela, was the first team from Hawaii to win the National Championship! Congratulations and kudos go out to Shearyna, who pitched eight games, stayed calm, and showed great leadership on the mound!

Let's continue to live up to our name, Team Po'okela, and a WONDERFUL 8th grade year awaits us!
