Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream is very confusing! The language is really hard to understand because it is like a foreign language. I'm glad that we have the modernized version on the right side of the book that we are using in class. The plot is pretty cool but it kind of jumps around from place to place. I am aware that there are three sets of characters: the lovers, the townsmen, and the fairies. Lastly, the performances are amazing! In the recent one, which was reciting four lines from Titania, were pretty cool! Some people made it really seem like he/ she was Titania speaking because of the hand gestures they used. I shall continue to enjoy Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream when our class gets further into the book.
Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream is interesting & confusing. It was interesting because it is something new to me & hardly anybody using this type of language anymore. What would it be like if we started to actually talk like this though?
The plot of the story is something that actually happens a lot theses days. I personally like this plot because it grabbed my attention when we started to read it.
I think our class performance was really good. We had a lot of hand gestures at the right timing. There was a lot of different formats that the companies used while performing too. To be honest i was nervous that i was going to forget my lines.I kind of hope that we get to do more activities like this.
To me, so far I feel that Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is very entertaining, divert, and somewhat obscure. Reasons for that are, because when you think about the main plot of the situation/story, it somewhat gives you that little "confused and dazed” feeling due to the fact that this story contains: infatuation, fairies, drama, stress, & love. At the same time though, the plot is very entertaining. There is always something random or weird going on in the scene. When it comes down to the language of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" I feel as if you're in some fancy restaurant drinking tea with the queen of England, because of all this "thou", "thee", "Adieu" and all those other weird sounding sentences/ fancy words. The performances on the other hand are hysterical; I mean when I think back to Shakespeare time, it makes me wonder how men felt kissing and hugging each other when acting with one another. Overall, I feel as if Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” has taught me many new things that have happened way back in history. I enjoy reading and having group discussions about this book and I especially love watching the actual movie.
Shakesphere's "midsummer night dream" is rely rely rely rely comfusing to me. First of all, i cant understand 400 year old language. Second of all i cant say the names of the characters. The plot is rely dramatic with all the jelouscy going on. i gotta admet its very intreasting though. its also very fun on the activites that we do like performences and poasters. the performences are very intresting because you get to see a diffrent point of view of what other people think about Shakesphere.
Shakespears Midsummers night dream is interesting. I think the language is complicated however I find it fun to know most sentences have a deeper meaning. The plot of the story looks great. So far it showed a lot of comedy and some conflict. I don't really like performing shakespeare because his language is hard to say.
Today’s technology has impacted me for learning because the glog is a site where you express yourself through images, videos and songs. The blog is a site where you can create ideas using a group of words. It could be sad, happy, bad, good, hilarious, or it could be leaving someone with anger, depression, or revenge sometimes.
The language is tough because nowadays, if you say Shakespeare’s language, then people will either be confused or laugh at you. The performances are really creative because you aren’t just saying stuff, you’re using pauses, hand motions, and sometimes, you say stuff in unison. It takes time, and effort, but if you get the meaning, you know how to get the A. The plot is creative. It took time and effort because nobody uses those terms anymore. I’m guessing that it took a lot of effort to keep you from laughing.
I feel perfect anbout shakepeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". I understand the whole book so far and amd very understanding on the launguage in the book and how it was back then. The worksheet you handed out about the launguage helped me understand the launguage as well and i like how they say "thou" insted of "I". If i dont understand something though, i look nat the english part and understand it right away and im loving the plot. It has a great romantic-funny story to it even though Helena is wack. My favorite character so far is Dimitrius because he always makes fun of Helena and its funny. I also like how there is a lot of relationaship issues in this story which makes it even more interesting. The performances help me understand the book even better that is why i like them and its fun/ funny to do skits on this book. They also help me understand certain acts better too and i like acting companys and seeing their perspective on things in the book.
I feel smarter and more capable now, after reading shakespear. All though "Midsummer's Nights Dream" is difficult, I feel like I'm learning a lot. Although it is very challenging and difficult to figure out. I'm enjoying shakespear.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is very interesting and has a good plot. William Shakespeare gives all the characters good, yet confusing dialogue. The literary devices he uses in the plays all weird, but somehow they have a deeper meaning and match the scene perfectly. I like the plot of the play because it includes many different scenes from different kinds of people/fairies. I don’t like the performances that we do in class because I don’t like acting in general. But, also because acting Shakespeare is very hard, so I tend to make mistakes a lot.
Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream is very interesting. I thought the language was a bit confusing at first. It was like learning a foreign language, but I got used to his figurative language. I love Shakespeare's humor and his choice of words. His plot is very captivating. This book has a lot of foreshadows. It portrays a girl who is trapped in this love triangle. She decides to run away thinking that it would solve most of the problems, when it actually caused even more. Although I heard about this story before, it is nice to refresh my memory. When we act out the scenes from Midsummer Night's Dream, William's words come alive. I thought that it was fun to play different characters. I get to experience how they say and express the lines. My favorite character in the book is Puck. He reminds me of someone I know. Even though he plays pranks on old ladies and horses, there are some good deeds he does for the people. I wish I had Puck's power to punish people who gossip about others. :D
After finishing the book I found a midsummer nights dream awkward and boring. I found myself vaguely reading through the book twoards the end just skipping words I didn't know. However I did learn words and their meanings from the beggining of the book, and I did find the story between the 4 lovers in the wood to be really good. Then in the end owever unless played out it was very boring. I began reading as if it was a chore because I really wasn't enjoying the ending. Performing shakespeare is another thing. To try to understand and read aloud a text using gestures as well came a great challenge to me. I liked to see others people's interperetation of the text. All in all I find shakespeare to be interesting yet wierd, and awkward at times, but I am still trying to see what made this book so admirable.
